This is Jagger the T-rex (mentioned often in the interview). He wanted it for Christmas and we said we'd get it for his bday. When I got on Amazon to order it, it was $125 and out of stock in every store. Awesome. So we told him there was no more Jagger. Then, my friend found one on Craigslist for $15. Kris drove 45 minutes to get it, but it was well worth it! And what a savings!!

  

He is voice commanded. Really only does what dad says. Grady's voice must be too high pitched. Maybe that's why he was $15 on Craigslist. Grady still loves him though. 

Dad and Grady were at Lamar's at 6:15 on birthday morning. Got some apple fritters and pink heart donuts for Lainey. 

 The night of his bday, Grandma and Grandpa, Auntie Ash and Uncle Brandon, Isla and Tatum came over for pizza and ice cream cake. It was a fun family party! 

He wanted a cake like his 2 year old cake which was from Coldstone. We ordered it and when we got it he said, "Where are the oreos like on my 2 year old cake?" Oh geez. We went to Wal-Mart and got Oreos to add to the cake. It was his birthday.... 

Happy birthday to my shirtless, full of energy, full of questions, runs everywhere he goes, sweet, sweet 5 year old. I love you. 

After Christmas Days

Lots of time was spent playing with those new toys. Lots of building went on. Grady really loves to build, but really is more interested in the building of the toys, and not really into playing with them once they are built. So lots of time building, not much playing once things were built!!

These two are loving their new robes from grandma and grandpa. 

We went sledding one afternoon with grandma and grandpa before we went to some friend's house to watch the Bronco game. They even got Grandma on the sled. She must really love them:)

Ava may have been frozen solid. 

This big girl finally got fed real food over Christmas break. She loves it. SHe makes an owl hooo hooo sound when she is feeling excited for her food. It's so cute. 

My friend Emily gave us lots of left over gingerbread house materials. Hank and AK came over to play and build some houses. I never remember to take pics, so these are a couple that we got after the fact. 

 Happy New Year!! We went to Ruthann and Pete's for NYE. Before we walked out the door, I checked Ava's temp. It was 101. We went anyways and she had lots of love while she was held by lots of mamas. We were home by 8:45, and all asleep by 9:15. Happy New Year!!!

This was sickie ringing in the New Year. 

She loves her big bro and sis. She is usually right in there with them these days. 

Our long lost 4th child. So depressed. Wishing for a walk. The outside world. The good old days. 

Maybe I let him run on the treadmill. With his boots. At an incline. To burn of his energy. Maybe he does it for like 10 minutes. And isn't tired. Could I please have 1/8 of his energy level!?!?

Why yes, this is 3 prescriptions of ammoxicilin. 5 out of 6 ears are infected in this house as I type. A week of fevers, coughs and snot noses.... I may have been going insane. BUT we are on the mend now. AND I think I may make it. Wohooo!

Notice that Target is the only photo where we are out of the house. I don't remember to take many photos when we are doing stuff, but really, these days, I can't lie, we are mostly at home or at Target. Let's be honest. Sad but true. 

Christmas at Mimi and Papa's

The day after Christmas, we headed over to Mimi and Papa's. The kids couldn't wait to open all their presents from them and Auntie Crystal and Jason. They got tons of fun stuff. The biggest hit was Grady's monster truck and Laine's singing Doc McStuffins microphone. Auntie got them all kinds of fun stuff, Laine's favorite were her sparkly boots and Grady likes all his cool dino stuff. 

After present opening and lots of playing, the kids went outside and played in the front yard with Papa, Auntie Crystal, Jason and daddy. The neighbors, Mitch and Teagan were out there too. They built a snowman and had a big snowball fight. Afterwards, hot chocolate was needed. 

We spent the night that night and played some more the next day. It was a great time!
