Oh Ava. I think that I will forever associate the first weeks of school with being pregnant with you and thinking I was having a miscarriage. I've thought a lot about you and how much has happened since 2 years ago and they first months of my pregnancy with you. You are such a special little girl and I am so very grateful you are ours. Here is a bit about you at almost 18 months.
You say lots of words:
mama, dada, deedee (Grady), Naine (Laine), oyee (Ollie), IYA (Isla, usually yelled), Mamah (grandma), Bapah(grandpa), Ash, Mimi, Papa, mok (milk), geenk (drink), cracker, bath, bye bye, woof woof, unk unk (oink), kak kak (quack), moo, belly button (your version, nose, eye, baby, hot, bite, boyboy (blueberry), durt (yogurt), this, one, two, dee (three), dirty (thirty- part of a song you like to sing), boy, mimow (minnie mouse), gooter (scooter), nose, eye, shorts, shirt, poop, teeth or beebush(means toothbrush, usually while demanding some family member's toothbrush to be given to you, shoved into your snot nosed germ filled mouth and possibly to never be seen again.
You love to dance. Mostly to Doc McStuffins theme song.
You like to eat grilled cheese, pb toast, yogurt, cheese, blueberries, grapes, mac and cheese, ice cream, popsicles
You are starting to love your big brother and sister. When they aren't home, you wander around and yell for them. You held up a pair Lainey's shorts the other day and said, "Naine's shorts," You are getting so smart:)
You just learned to walk about 3 weeks ago. You took your time and scooted on your knees and crawled on the hot cement all summer long. It didn't bother you a bit. Now you just mill around the house and dump things, spill things, root through the snack drawer, wriggle under the baby gate to get both up and down the stairs. You like to make your way into Lainey's room and play with her things. You throw things in the trash and I dig them out. All day.
Speaking of things you love... toothbrushes, rooting through mom's make up drawer (my purfume has been missing for 2 weeks now. No sign of it), anything of your big sis's like her babies, her stroller, her camera, her room, her jewelry, her 4 Doc McStuffins Christmas presents, shoes, putting them on and off.
You are the snuggliest of all 3 DeCola kids. You love to hug and cuddle. In the morning when you wake up (at 6 or before...you are an early bird like your brother) you like to come in and snuggle with mom and dad in bed. You usually lay on top of me with your head on my chest and cuddle for a bit. I love every second. Then, you get silly and begin dancing and bouncing all over the place. If Grady and Lainey aren't awake yet, you yell their names and wonder where they are.
You love to squeal and make sure we all know where you are, you love to be chased, you love to giggle. You are a joy Ava baby. Can't wait to see what the next few months bring.
