We headed out after Kris' leadership meeting around 3 armed with ipads, DVD players and lots of snacks.
Made it to our hotel room in Hays around 9:30. Ava had slept from 3:30-6:00, so she was wide awake. This shot was them watching Sheriff Callie at 10:30. Forty-five minutes later, lights out, 3 girls in one bed, two boys in another, and a two year old who was wired. She was just talking up a storm. The main phrase coming out of her mouth was, "I'm shaking my BOOTIE, I'm shaking my BOOTIE!!!" Again and again.....
I think we were all asleep by midnight.
We made it! Some arts and crafts on the dining room table.
Lots of baseball was played at the farm.
We went to the Royals game. This is the George Brett statue. Awesome!
Watching the pitcher warm up.
We were in the first row of left field. Right above the bullpen. Right in homerun territory.
After our hot dogs, this guy needed a snow cone.
Then, this happened!!!! Grandpa got a homerun ball that went over our head and bounced back to us right at his feet. Grady put it up right over his head. Happiest boy in the stadium. What a great memory I hope he has forever. Amazing.
He fell asleep. Nearly as much of a miracle as catching a homerun. Ha.
The next day we headed to Worlds of Fun. Selfie on the Fjord Farlane. The blue ride I remember loving as a kid too.
Guess who saved a baby frog from the sidewalk?
That right there is a 9 dollar slurpie. Yes, yes it is.
She brought her bike helmet from Colorado for safety.
The long anticipated ride on the 4 Wheeler. Grandpa worked hard to get that thing going for Grady. He knew how much he had been looking forward to it.
More baseball.
Some Old Maid.
Fun in the water.
Ipad time.
Sweet baby Collins.
Great Grandma and Collins. Is it weird I would totally wear my grandma's cute flowered shirt?
Everybody came up on Saturday, so fun to have everyone together.
Grady got Trevor into baseball too.
Avers in the grass with a graham cracker.
Ages 2,3,4 and 5:)
Such a fun trip!!!
