Not much went on the last few weeks of summer. We sold our house and lived out with Mimi and Papa for a couple weeks before we moved over to live with Grandma and Grandpa for the beginning of the school year. Scott, a neighbor of Mimi and Papa, has a boat, so one night dad and Grady went out and go to go tubing and swimming in the lake.
Another day, we headed to the Aquarium and then to La Loma. I might have liked the Mexican food more than the fish. Not sure the kids would agree.
Auntie Crystal and Uncle Jason bought some jet skis so one afternoon we headed over to Cherry Creek Res and tried them out. The kids loved them, all three of them could not get enough!
Grandpa, Dad and the big kids went to the spring game. Grade got a lot of signatures and even got Big Play Shay's receiving glove!
We still love baseball too:)
Grady is playing flag football in Louisville. He is on a team with first through third graders and it definitely the littlest one out there. He loves it and tries his hardest every game.... he is just a little smaller and a little slower than the big boys. That doesn't decrease his confidence. One day on the way to school he informed me he is, "SO AWESOME at defense, like the best. Ever." I bit my tongue and just asked if he'd ever gotten a flag this year? He said, "Well, no, but I have been really close, really close." Gotta love 6 year old confidence.
Did I mention his games are on Friday nights at 5 or 6. We are usually in excellent shape at that time of day, in that point in the week. Although I did not take pics for every game, this was pretty much the scene getting to most games this season.
This is such a great picture! That is Hank, Grady's best friend. He is excited for the run and soon to be touchdown!

These guys have done so many puzzles on Grandma's floor. Grady and Isla are really good at them and can complete them pretty fast.

Later that day, we celebrated with pizza at the Carluccis. Grandma and Grandpa were delayed at Great Grandma Helen's house, so they missed the party that night. There was a loud version of Happy Birthday and then an intense football game that the girls loved and a competitive boy did not.
On Monday, the real day! This girl partied all weekend!

There has been a lot of Grandpa and Grady football and baseball practice while we are camping out at their house. He'd be out there 8 hours a day if he could find someone to play with him that long.
These two went to a cheer camp before the Buffs/Oregon State game. They loved it!
When did these two turn into teens?
He is like an old man. Starts his day reading the sports page everyday. Has to check out the scores from the night before because he has to go to bed before anything is every over. It is a good chance for a kid who is becoming a reader to practice his skills. Too cute.
