Wedding Reception Weekend

We started of with a BBQ at Jason's sister, Ashley's house. They had life size Jenga that kept Grady busy most of the evening. 

Afterwards, we headed to Sweet Cow in the Highlands and had some yummy ice cream with Grant (Kris' cousin) and his wife Brittany.  

The next morning, it was the last flag football game of the year. Grady had Auntie Ash, and cousins, and Grandma and Grandpa as his fans. 

That afternoon we heading to the Mile High Distillery downtown to the wedding reception for Aunt Crystal and Uncle Jason. Not many pics were taken here since we were in a bar with 3 children, all of which were a little crazy. The one above is me trying to get Grady to be normal and smile for one family pic. Clearly, my pep talk went well.....

Van and Avers found some cookies.

On a side note, Lainey found a little girl named Maddie (a niece of one of Crystal's friends) she was about 5 months old. For the 3 hours we were there, she was with this family we had never really met playing with Maddie. She held her, played with her and even ended up on facebook in a family photo with them. She is kind of a social butterfly apparently. Auntie Crystal is also a social butterfly and we never got a pic of her at her own wedding reception:(

Ava was a grump at the reception, but as soon as we arrived home, she stripped and hopped in her water table. She was happy as a clam. 

So was this girl. Brittany painted flowers on her nails and toes. Heaven. 

Grady has Grant's attention for all the sports. We may have invited/begged them to move from Oklahoma and live with us all summer. 

45 minutes later....

It really wasn't that hot. 

More sports. 

The next day we went to Mimi and Papa's for another BBQ. This was on the way home. She was so tired. 

And she's out. 

What a fun family filled weekend!!!

May Days

These are a few pics from my phone from the last couple weeks of May. It's a busy time of year, lots to do, lots going on... like....

... climbing out of cribs...

...student led conferences..where he read a whole book to me, went through his IB portfolio, solved

some math problems and gave me a tour of his room...

... he wanted a baseball and glove, but he got a dragon instead....because that's what his friends got....

 ...these girls dressed up in Grandma's basement, Laine was in the 'olden times'...

....we enjoyed some Lulus and Sweet Cow on a Friday evening...

... After busy May days, we like to snuggle and watch a show...

... May days sometimes feel like October days... mostly Saturdays were freezing...

...May days were full of drawings by this guy... he seriously sits at his art table and draws 90% of the time...

....May mornings were spent building.... at 5:45 a.m....

...May mornings were also spent dressing up to take big sis to preschool....

....cousins headed in to Laine's last day in K3... it was PJ day...

.... May morning at Starbucks, where the barista gave her a bowl of whipped cream and caramel sauce.... before we headed at music class with Ms. Kelly...

Grandpa came over one night, and Grady ran upstairs to change his outfit. He came back down looking like this. Too cute.
