Lots of Firsts Going on Around Here.....

In a house with two parents as teachers, this was a busy week. 

Monday: Mom started school. 

Tuesday: Laine started preschool.

Thursday: Dad started school. 

Friday: Grady started Kindergarten. 

BIG:Grady started Kindergarten on Friday. He went the day before to meet his teacher and when we left he said, "I am SO excited to start Kindergarten!!" She is sweet and kind and I can already tell she will do the most important job a Kindergarten teacher can do.... instill a LOVE of school into him. As I am typing this, he is at school. I can't wait for the report!

MIDDLE: Sweet Laine started K3 on Tuesday. She has Miss Ronda who was also Grady's teacher. She was thrilled to call LCA "HER school", not Grady's anymore. At Meet and Greet she gave Miss Ronda a hug and a kiss on the cheek. She's a lover. She's been twice and has loved both days. 

LITTLE: This girl is coming into her own. She is obsessed with many things. Shoes, toothbrushes, milk, babies. She has a mind of her own (as they all do at one and a half) but she is much more like the BIG than the MIDDLE at this age. She is a walking machine and pretty much mills around the main level of the house dumping things, breaking things, squealing, laughing, crying, mostly making her presence known throughout the day. She's a keeper.

Dad came over from 5th grade to be a part of the first day drop off.

Summer Pics

As summer comes to an end, here are a few photos to wrap up the hot summer days. 

This 5 year old lost two teeth within a few weeks of eachother. One is gone here...

Watched a Buffs football scrimmage....

Ate some BBQ....

And lots of Sweet Cow Ice Cream....

Pretty much had a great summer.... and looked pretty cute doing it.

Breckenridge

We had such a fun weekend in Breckenridge with friends. 

We got there on Friday afternoon before everyone else arrived, so we stopped for some lunch at Eric's. Grady was very pleased with the BBQ sauce served with his chicken tenders. Praise the Lord:)

 

Laine may have had mac and cheese at every meal the entire weekend. 

They even got to play some games after the meal!

We went to the condo and unpacked, then headed out to Main Street to listen to some music and have some ice cream. Grady was so cute with little Van. It was adorable to watch.

We spent a lot of time on the playground. Conveniently located by a beautiful river and a Starbucks!

S'Mores ice cream. Pure deliciousness. 

On Saturday, we were up and out to ride the gondola. Laine needed dad's glasses for the adventure. 

It was so cool to see the mountainside below, and we even saw a marmot or beaver swimming in a pond underneath us. Both on the way up and on the way down!

There is adventure park at the top of the gondola that looked awesome! It had all kinds of cool stuff like an alpine slide, trampolines, mini golf and more. It was a bit pricey, and Grady was all about riding the gondola back down the mountain. SO we did!

That afternoon we headed to the pool, we had lots of fun with just the two kids!

We grabbed a late lunch with a beautiful view at Breckenridge Brewery. We sat outside and could see the slopes across the way. Laine enjoyed more mac and cheese, and Grady got more chicken tenders. They don't change their choices much!

Saturday night, we went mini golfing for the first time. It also had a jumpy castle that was much more of a hit.

Sunday morning we rode bikes to the town. It was chilly! We stopped for some crepes at a crepe stand and Lainey tried on the pink patagonia coat while she waited.

Meanwhile, back at home..... sweet Ava went to Village Inn and Kohls with Grandma and Grandpa. 

She also carried her bball over to the park to swing:)
