The Sun Dress and Other Random Shots from January

The sundress mentioned in the previous post is pretty popular around here. She truly wears it every day. And pulls it out of the wash if I try to sneak it in.

Reading to her dog, Marley. Her fake dog. The real dog, Ollie is ignoring her.

This little girl is allergic to cinnamon. This was her face after cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on oatmeal. Eeeek!

We are back in swim lessons for the swimming pools in our future.

This boy had strep. Again. And didn't eat for days. McDonalds usually does the trick. He may have had it for too many days in a row. We are trying to fatten him back up.

This one needs no fattening, although she does need to learn how to drink her yogurt.

On Thursdays, I have Ava all alone while everyone else is in school. We had a bagel date one morning before her music class which she loves.

One Saturday we tried ice skating with our friends. She needed to wear her tutu for when she did her spins. Haaaaa. Our conversation the whole drive there entailed words like: hard, so hard, you will fall, it is frustrating, it takes a long time to get good, it is hard.

He was so mad it was hard and that he was not good.

She fell all over the place and popped back up again and again.

He got 'better' after a few rounds.

Elijah and Grady watching the big boys play hockey.

On Fridays we don't have much scheduled usually so she loves to paint. She paints her hands like Miss Rhonda does at preschool.

While Lainey paints, Grady has been a Lego maniac. He got lots for Christmas and a bin of Legos that he could be creative with. He's put them all together.

Now, if only I could have my dining room table back....

New Year's resolutions are going really well around here. I have some cute little trainers who are really into exercising with mom.

Oh Ava. She used to love clothes and wearing coats and boots and all things. Now she likes to be naked at all times. I think she should potty train herself. Asap. She's the third, shouldn't she get on that?

She has strong opinions, this one. I guess they all do at this age.
She's kind of my favorite right now.

She's either screaming for a marshmallow or milky.
Clearly.

5 Days of Laine.

Laine has always been the easy one. (After her 4 straight months of crying as a baby). She's a go with the flow, happy, smiley, loving, peaceful little gal. I've always laid out her clothes or picked out her clothes and she's happily put them on. Enter 2016.
She used to sleep in. Now she gets up early and dresses herself. Then, heads in to our room to reveal her outfit of choice for the day. I have not documented all the days. But let's just say last week she got out the door with a size 6 Buff cheerleader outfit for preschool. And she likes to accessorize with pink sunglasses in order to be a "movie star". Not even sure where she heard that term....
This is actually the Buffs cheerleader outfit mentioned above. On a different day. With a large headband she wore for Christmas when she was 2. The tights she has on are a 2T as well. From Ava's drawer. She's resourceful.
Grandma got her this sun dress for Christmas. She LOVES is and has paired it with many shirts underneath since I told her it is winter and she can't wear a sundress. Like I said, she's resourceful. On a side note- it is on backwards in the pic and she made the headband out of a workout headband Ash got me for Christmas with a denim bow clipped on.

Are those panty hose? Yes. Yes, they are. With another sundress and a sweater. And boots.

2T tights again and her old ballet leotard.

Last day, she actually pulled together a cute little outfit. Denim bow and all.

All Three at 21 Months...

Helmick Christmas (On New Year's Day)

We headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's on the morning of New Year's Day.

After getting settled in, we started with our stockings. Clearly, the Carlucci girls were a little more put together than the DeCola children. One of which still had on her Elsa pjs she received a week earlier.

Then, it was on to the next floor to open presents!
Grandma created the girls their own pet vet kits complete with a vet coat and a dog of their own.
This is Laine later in the day with her dog Marley. On his tag he was Barley, but she renamed him:)
Avers got some new books and a Minnie Mouse robe. I guess Grandma had heard about her robe obsession and realized she needed her own.

Look at that handsome 5 year old. He got some football cards, more Legos and a sleeping bag that was blue.

The rest of the day was spent eating a delicious breakfast, playing with new toys, watching Bowl games, eating appetizers and relaxing. Such a fun time with family.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse- she's pretty sucked into the Disney Junior World.

Cousins sporting their new summer sun dresses while playing pet vet while singing by the tree.
Multi-taskers they are.
