Life Lately.... the Super Unexciting Edition

These pictures cover over a month of time, and are seriously the only things that have been going on around here. I am almost 32 weeks pregnant, we are living in a teeny tiny condo, the house we are building has has approximately 4,396 things go wrong and slow down the building process, we have 7 weeks until a newborn is coming (if he/she waits that long), we have done ZERO to prepare for this baby, I have gestational diabetes, all 3 out of 5 of us have been super sick lately, do I sound like I am complaining? Maybe. A little. But looking at these pictures made me smile and realize although we really haven't been up to much, we are spending lots and lots of time in close quarters and that makes for lots of love. Theres a quote I see all the time on Istagram......

Love grows best in little houses, with fewer walls to separate. Where you eat and sleep so close together you can't help but communicate. And if we had more room between us, think of all we'd miss. Love grows best in houses just like this.

So true.... with an almost 7 year old who loves to run pass patterns in the 10 by 10 square foot family room from 5-8 every night. And an almost 3 year old who refers to the master bedroom as "our room" and the bed in there as "her bed". A 5 year old who has her babies, cradles, blankets strewn throughout every square inch of living space. We can't all sit at the table together, but we eat at the same time in various locations. There are some pics to document how we keep entertained. Just keep reading. ;)

The girls and I headed up to Greeley to meet baby Rhett a few days after Christmas. He is so cute and was such a snuggle bug the whole time we were there.

Lainey got her baby fix while we were there. She was so happy. Grady and dad had a boys day and went bowling.

One day over Christmas break Grandpa took Grady to the batting cages. He was up at 6 asking what time they were going. The answer was 4. Just a few hours to wait...... good thing he had on his eye black.

And his baseball pants. And his DeCola Rockies t-shirt he has worn 5 out of 7 days since Christmas.

Just another day. Doing a word search with Buffs jersey and eye black on. Eye black in super important to wear at all times in December.

So are sunglasses.

There was a warm day after Christmas and we headed to the zoo with the rest of Denver. It turned out to be a great outing and lots of animals were out!

Megan hosted another NYE with kids and families. She is a brave hostess..... her house was turned upside down.... as could be expected. I think there were 11 kids under the age of 7. Destructive.

Duke trying to put the moves on Lainey.

All the kiddies ringing in the new year at 8. We were home by 8:45 and out by 9. My kind of NYE:)

This guy has figured out reading. He can read most of what you put in front of him. This is Fly Guy.

We met the Fegers at the mall one morning at the crack of dawn. About the only time our 6 children should be allowed to play on the dinos. They are insane. We joked that Grady and Hank have been getting in trouble there since they were 2. eek.

Black eye.

Lainey and Avers were playing on the couch and Laine fell of Ava's face with the back of her head. She cried and cried. I didn't realize how bad it was until the next morning when she looked like this. Oops.

She still prefers to wear her swimsuit at all times.

Right when we had to go back to school, there was a huge snow storm. Boulder and every other district was out, but Jeffco made the teachers report. The boys were shoveling for a long time!

Warming up with hot chocolate and a scarf.

Like mentioned above, one way we are keeping entertained in the shoebox! The baby is wearing a sock.

Tutu sleeping princess.

Lainey and dad built a pretty cute snowgirl.

She did the puzzle that she thought she couldn't do!!

Grady had a sleepover one night, so we had a girls night and took selfies with all the stuffed animals.

31 weeks in these pics. Might be the only pics documenting baby number 4.

Sledding with cousins!

BFFs

Cutie pies.

Uncle Brandon built a pretty awesome jump. They loved it!!!

Best shot ever by Auntie Ash.

Attempting the Buffs puzzle from Grandma and Grandpa. It's a toughie.

There's a baby in a basket. She's not being Moses. Although she does love to play the game where she is baby Jesus. I am Mary. And dad is God. Hilarious.

Grady started basketball. He is the Green Vipers.

Lilah's 3rd bday at Home Depot. Kris was in Vegas, Rick took the big kids, so Holly, Charlie, Ava and I went together. She was not sure what was going on and where we were. She fell asleep on the way there and never recovered. (due to the fact she was up at 5:05).  She didn't like the wagon we made, refused to paint it, and wanted milk and to watch a Mickey the whole party. She was a party pooper:) She did love the purple cake though, not surprising!

The cutie pie birthday girl.

He had a bday party that afternoon too. Then came home with w fever and was asleep by 6 on the couch!

Then she got it.

We pulled ourselves together and made it to my school's family fun night. There was spaghetti, dancing and face painting. Grady ran around with the boys in my class and acted like a teen, Lainey ate spaghetti and got her face painted like a cheetah (and then wore it for the next 24 hours) and Ava lasted about 30 minutes and then went and sat in the car with Kris until we left.

The cheetah.

The next day she found a shirt she wants for her birthday. Next, September.

Well, that's it. December and January in a nutshell. February will look much the same, ha!
