We departed at 7:30 and were in Aspen in time for some BBQ for lunch.
When we got to the condo, we attempted to put the kids down for an afternoon nap. Mostly they just chatted and screamed, but eventually 3 out of the 4 gave up. All but little Andie Kate had a bit of a snooze. At one point, Kris went in, and Hank was in the pack n play with Grady... It took them an hour and a half to go to sleep for about an hour!
Dads and their baby girls. They were much easier than their crazy 2 year old brothers in the restaurants.

Maroon Bells. Lived here most of my life and have never been. It was prettier than I could ever imagine.
Group shot!
Emily and Darren came too and were totally patient with all that comes along with 4 kids under the age of 2 1/2. They just kept drinking margaritas. I just don't know why.... ha!
Little Lainey with some beautiful scenery
"Where's the playground? Where's the playground?" is what he whined/screamed on the shortened hike around the lake as I apologized to all the people sitting on benches enjoying the majestic view. Maybe that's what happens when you get to take a short nap and stay up til 9:30 on vacation!! At the condo, he kept saying, "This is our new house this is our new house!!!" Yes, Grady, we struck it rich and have bought a summer home in Aspen. Mmmmhmmm.
3.5 minutes after we were in the car to head down the mountain. (it lasted 30 minutes and then he was up for the remaining 4 hours)
This is what he busied himself doing.
